Aunt Mary's Christmas Gift

When we were planning the wedding with the manager of the Travel Lodge, she kept telling us over and over about how she had to protect  their liquor license.  We had to buy the liquor from them for the reception. Because the shower was in another part of the building we could bring in our own liquor for that.  Not a problem for us.  Worked out just fine.  

But.......

Wednesday we got the local newspaper.  We call it the Bugle. It is really the Jefferson Democrat. It seems that the Travel Lodge just got busted.  lol  Seems they were making their own wine on the premises and running a still.  A still!!!  roflmao  So much for protecting their liquor license. lol

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all.  I will be having a little Irish Whiskey on the rocks later tonight. No parties around here to speak of or attend.  Sometimes it's hard to be Irish. 

I just want to go on record and say that I miss my Lil Buddy.  Have fun in Singapore.  Come home soon.

The photographer and I spoke this evening. He is going to make adjustments to the photos on the site so the pictures download faster. Be patient.

Ok....you get to come up with a good name too........... Apparently, all ideas are being entertained.

My baby girl called me this morning on her way home from her ultrasound.  So now we know that my baby girl is gonna have a baby girl of her own.  Who knew I would be sooooooooooo excited?!!!!!! I can hardly wait.   Today I bought a carseat type snowsuit in pink, three pairs of jammies, another warm type suit to wear in the fall, a little onesie with little pink hearts on it.   How's that for a start?  lol

I am going to make a night light.  You can vote: little lamb, pink bunny, or bear?   Hmmmm

In all the excitement I forgot to call the photographer today.  Oh well.......there is always tomorrow. Or at least I hope so..

Just got off the phone with the photographer.  He is working on the photos as we speak.  They will be done by the first of the week.  I am anxious to see them.  Not the ones of me, of course.  lol 

Today is Morgan's birthday.  Wig and I are going to Harrisburg on Saturday to take her and DJ to dinner. The last I heard, she wants to go to the Appalachian Brewery, even though she is not drinking.  Guess that makes her the designated driver.  lol   She had asked me to make her another little stained glass box.  I finished that project today.  I have been spending much of my time down in the basement cutting, grinding and soldering.  I am determined to get good at it. 

What I really should be doing is pitching stuff that we no longer need and figuring out what to do with the cracked walls in the 2nd floor bedroom.  House projects, here we come. 

Have any of you seen the King's Speech?  I hear it is great.  Must go see it.   Dar meeting next week too.  Busy bee.  That's me.

Tomorrow my baby will be 24. My how the time flies. This afternoon I was in the kitchen finishing a little stained glass box that I made and was listening to the tv. This thing with Charlie Sheen is absolutely nuts for sure. But what caught my attention was the newscaster saying that the mother of one of the girls who lives there with good old Charlie found out what her 24 year old daughter was up to when she saw the photo of her in Charlie's kitchen. OMG. Having my own 24 year old daughter I was taken aback. I wonder what I would do if that were my kid?!!?
