Contrary to some siblings ideas  I believe this is the best description of what it means to be "Slaterish" - intelligent, creative, compassionate, smart enough to know when and how to fix problems,( yes that includes using duct and electrical tape) intuitive enough to want to know how and why things work the way they do.   Has a broad range of interests and does  not hesitate to explore them, even if others find them odd.  Knows  what it means to face depression and has the knowledge of how to fix it.   Saying or doing anything  hurtful to anyone is out of the question.  Knows  how to say I am sorry and mean it.  Gives  to people who are less fortunate than they are.   Loves to laugh.  Marries for life, no matter what.   Falls down and gets back up, even stronger than before. Believes in God. Innate sense of humor.
