The craft dungeon was re-organized to optimize work-flow.
Now that the project boxes and stained glass have new homes, the workspace is clear and it's project time!

Born Hershey Medical Center ( word of advice.... don't go there), August 9,2011 at 9:57 p.m.8 lbs. 12 oz. Hank brought me home from Harrisburg last night. It is going to take me a couple of days to recoup. What an adventure it was.....

Morgan's mother in law did a very nice job with the shower.

 

The diaper cake was very cute.   DJ's Mom told me that they put many shoes on the cake because DJ always complains about Morgan having too many pairs of shoes. 

This little outfit came all the way from Singapore.  The fabric is just beautiful.

At Christmas time we wear bows on our foreheads.  Apparently at showers we go for the tutu on the head.  lol 

I got to sit back and enjoy this party.  It was nice, not to be in charge.  Morgan got many nice things for her baby.  Big hugs to all of you. 

I just loved the wrapping of this package.  I should have known right away who it was from.  Can you guess.  She is a sweet, loving, woman who lives in Ohio.  As a child I told her that oreo's were poison cookies.  lol 

It was so much fun for me this past weekend because my dear friend, Margie, came and stayed with us.  She and I had a great time together.  My favorite part might be our special lunch on Sunday.  Oh yes, we went to Strattanville for a Perry's ice cream treat.   The only thing that would have made the trip more perfect is if they had had Bittersweet Symphony for us.  But is there any kind of Perry's icecream that is not good?  I digress.

All in all, the shower was fun and we had a good time together.  I got to play the cooking version of scrabble.  It was actually fun.  Margie brought another game as well.  It was fun too.  Well, other than the part with the whining son in law.  lol   I had to do 7 pushups in 30 seconds in order to advance 2 spaces on the board.  What do you think?  Did I succeed or not?  lol

I am done being hot.  Going to go turn on the air conditioner.

What does it take to get me to take the time to do a post to this blog?  Hmmmmm??? Apparently it is our four hummingbirds disappearing.    We had filled two feeders.  One at the sunporch location, and the other one outside my kitchen window.   I was so happy to see the hummingbirds busily licking up the nectar.  Since there is a wild roddie next to the feed out the kitchen window, I got to see them perch in that bush.  Two of them sat side by side the other day.  Awesome.  We refilled the fedders and again saw activity and then, as if by magic, they were gone.  So sad..........  The bluebirds rejected the blue bird house this year. Frankly, I can't say as I blame them.  Now we have no hummingbirds.  So much for that kind of amusement.  Instead, I have focused on cleaning this pig sty up.  It is a monumental task.  All I can do is keep pluggin away at it. 

I still need to get my plants potted up.  I have the basil finished and now am trying to figure out what we own that is big enough to grow 6 tomato plants.  So far, we are thinking 10 gallon buckets.  Yes, it will be a pleasant site on the patio. lol Ideas from you all would be appreciated.

I have been spending a bit of time on ebay, grabbing up the stuff Morgan desires for her new baby's nursery.  Actually I have done pretty well so far.  I think she is pleased.  Her shower is this weekend.  Don't know much about it other than what time I should be there.  I imagine it will be fun.

Hank's puppy is growing like a weed.  Her name is Zoe and she seems to be pretty intelligent.  She knows me to be the treat person.  lol  Grandma's do that, right?  Wig and I take her to the vet this week for her last shot.  Hank takes her down to the pond where she is becoming more and more fearless.  She goes into the water headfirst now.  PU!!!!!!!!!!  The combination of dog odor and pond scum is too much!  Hence, a bath was in order today.  She does very well with that too.  Hank does very well with cleaning the tub after she is done.  lol

Since I stumbled upon this on facebook I thought it would be ok to share the link.

When we were planning the wedding with the manager of the Travel Lodge, she kept telling us over and over about how she had to protect  their liquor license.  We had to buy the liquor from them for the reception. Because the shower was in another part of the building we could bring in our own liquor for that.  Not a problem for us.  Worked out just fine.  

But.......

Wednesday we got the local newspaper.  We call it the Bugle. It is really the Jefferson Democrat. It seems that the Travel Lodge just got busted.  lol  Seems they were making their own wine on the premises and running a still.  A still!!!  roflmao  So much for protecting their liquor license. lol

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all.  I will be having a little Irish Whiskey on the rocks later tonight. No parties around here to speak of or attend.  Sometimes it's hard to be Irish. 

I just want to go on record and say that I miss my Lil Buddy.  Have fun in Singapore.  Come home soon.
